Grammy winning rappers Ludacris and T.I. have joined forces to perform on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" special later this month.
According to All Headline News, the Atlanta-bred emcees will help headline Carson Daly's annual ceremony alongside performers like "I Kissed A Girl" singer Katy Perry as they welcome in 2009.
"The addition of T.I. is huge," Daly said in a statement. "Since the end of June, either T.I. or Katy Perry has predominantly held the number one spot on Billboard's Hot 100. More importantly, with T.I. we get the artist of the year to perform in primetime."
Tip and Luda are expected to showcase hits from their latest albums Paper Trail andTheater of the Mind, both having dropped earlier this year.
"New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" is scheduled to air live Wednesday, December 31 beginning at 10 p.m. EST.
In related news, Luda and Outkast's Big Boi will host next month's "Urban Ball" in Washington, DC.
Helping celebrate the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama, the two will bring along superstars T-Pain, David Banner, Fantasia, Lil' Jon, Monica, Bobby Valentino and more to perform.
