million dollar price tag.....Will new movie........
Will Smith's new drama "Seven Pounds" bears hallmarks of his previous collaboration with the film's director, Gabriele Muccino, on 2006's "The Pursuit of Happyness."Again, this film is terribly in earnest, and Smith gets ample opportunities to show off his acting chops. It differs from that film, though, by being less slick, more down to earth with its sentiments and less manufactured in its drama.
At the heart -- quite literally -- of the film is an unlikely and intense romance between Smith and a cardiac patient played beautifully by Rosario Dawson, which no doubt will generate positive word-of-mouth for the Sony release. No Will Smith movie goes unnoticed in theaters, so "Seven Pounds" -- awful title -- is looking at substantial numbers during the holidays. It opens on Friday.

ESPN: What do you think when you hear athletes try to rap? It seems like all the musicians want to be athletes and all the athletes want to be musicians.50 Cent: I think a lot of the athletes come from a place of not having very much when they’re growing up, so they relate to the content of the lyrics. There’s also the competitive nature of the art form. Like fighters, like professional ball players, rappers condition themselves to be winners. Hip hop artists might not condition themselves physically, but they’re conditioning themselves mentally in order to feel like the champ. I think the professional athlete can actually identify with the competitive edge that’s actually involved in it. The music has an aggression and speaks a different language to a guy who comes from nothing.
I think their attraction to hip hop is seeing where they come from to seeing where they are now. The music sums up their lives. Shaq made an album. Kobe made an album. Kobe’s album sucked. It would’ve been better if he let me write it. A lot of professional athletes have attempted to do it. Ron Artest almost missed his season trying to do it. It’s a lot harder than it looks.

7 Great U.S. Cities to Live In
Philadelphia: Accept no substitutesSure, Philly's the city that booed Santa Claus — 40 years ago, at a pre-Christmas Eagles NFL game at Franklin Field — but any fan will remind you that the Santa in question was a notoriously poor performer. (It probably didn't help that the Eagles were losing the game.)Philadelphia boos big, but it loves even bigger: This is a city with a tremendous heart, especially for its sports stars both fictional (a bronze statue of Rocky Balboa, outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art, remains a top tourist draw) and factual (the 2008 World Series-winning Phillies).
The city's non-sports attractions aren't so much humble as refined, and the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the stately homes of Society Hill are better appreciated as facts of daily living than on a packed afternoon of sightseeing. This is, after all, a fabulous place to live — and not simply as a substitute for somewhere more expensive, or as New York's "sixth borough."
Young families can actually buy homes here, retreating on weekends to the city's extensive park system, to the Museum of Art, or to the Franklin Museum, a science-themed wonderland for kids. Just consider the membership card.
UK Rapper Dizzee Rascal Arrested In Alleged Road Rage Incident
United Kingdom-based rapper Dizzee Rascal was arrested last night (December 12) following an alleged road rage incident involving a baseball bat.According to the BBC, police detained Dizzee (born Dylan Mills) in London's south east section after the rapper was reportedly waving a baseball bat at a driver. Perceiving the action as possible threat, authorities arrested him on suspicion of an offensive weapon. Dizzee was later released on bail but must return to a South London police station at an unspecified time before the end of the month. Popular throughout England, the rapper has collaborated with various rap American artists, including UGK's Bun B and Pimp CDoug E. Fresh Faces Financial Woes, $3.5 Million Debts
Hip-Hop icon Doug E. Fresh is reportedly being pursued by multiple banks aiming to collect over $3.5 million in debts for his New York City homes.According to the New York Post, three of Fresh's Harlem home mortages are behind payment and he is facing around $60,000 in debt stemming from credit card charges by American Express. The Human Beat Box has also received a $367,000 tax lien in addition to over $40,000 currently owed to the New York tax collector.
Reports show the performer recently had a foreclosure suit in Manhattan last August making that debt average around the $1.73 million range. As front man for The Get Fresh Crew, Fresh was known in the '80s for his "human box" sound effects. Fresh has collaborated with various rap stars including Nas, Ludacris and most famously with Slick Rick for the 80s hits "The Show" and "Ladi Dadi." An official response to the debt claims has yet to be released.
