It is not even close, Jay-Z has more influence. Kobe Bryant doesn’t have much influence outside of maybe making people want to play basketball and buy his sneakers. Athletes rarely get into political issues or speak out much about anything. I can’t remember Michael Jordan ever addressing issues going on in the world. Rappers on the other hand speak on what is going on in the world, past and present. They make you think about society and your life(not all of them of course).
Athletes could have a stronger influence but they avoid speaking on what is going on in the world. I can’t blame them, I would rather focus on making millions and giving money to charity. Kobe Bryant may be more well known in the world, but he is known mainly for his skills on the court.

No, you can't keep your BlackBerry. "Yes, I can!" No, it's a security risk and you wouldn't be able to keep your data safe. "Yes, I can!" Okay fine, you can keep it. "Yes!"
The new President of the United States has been putting up quite the fight to keep up with his CrackBerry addiction. He's just not willing to give up that wonderful handheld that offers so much satisfaction, despite all the security risks that the Secret Service and other government officials are warning him about. After all that fighting and all that struggle, Obama has come out on top.
President Obama has now been granted permission to keep his BlackBerry, but only for personal use. Presumably, this means that he can use his Berry to check up on sports scores and to send a quick message to Michelle about how he'll be late for dinner.
For all official communications, however, Barack Obama will be forced to use the much less satisfying Sectera Edge (below right). The business device, powered by Windows Mobile, is supposed to be much more secure and it has been approved by the NSA for official use. Too bad it's ugly as sin.
Barack Obama has busted a lot of boundaries and barriers during this great campaign. His "little" victory in getting to keep his BlackBerry at all speaks volumes about just how tech-happy he is.

Kanye West Speaks On How He Feels About 50 Cent’s Disses Against Him
He was my favorite rapper since Mase when he dropped, and when I used to be around him, he was one of the few people that I was like really fan of. I was nervous in the studio working on beats and hoping that I could do a good beat for him. This is even when I had College Dropout and Jesus Walks. Jay Z and 50 are just two of those type of guys you really want to make some good music for. So, for me as a fan of him I felt like if he said something negative and tried to make it like I’m negative it’s almost like if a little kid walks up to you at the airport and is like, ‘Man, I love you so much,” and then you spit on him it’s like (in a joking voice) “I don’t know if I love you as much as I used to,” as you wipe the spit off your face, but you still play their music. I could never have beef with anybody. I’m not here to beef with anybody. I’m trying to bring people together. I realize that my success and my mouth and everything rub people the wrong way every now and then, but I’m not finna have beef with anybody.

The half-metre resolution images of the United States Capitol, Washington DC, were captured by the GeoEye-1 satellite on Tuesday.
They show the vast swarms of people who travelled to the city to watch Mr Obama sworn in as the 44th president.
It is estimated that two million people made the journey to the District of Columbia, which has a population of less than 600,000.
The size of the crowd, which began arriving at 4am Washington time, appeared easily to exceed the 1.2million attracted by Lyndon B Johnson's 1965 swearing-in, a previous record.
The pictures, which were taken through Washington's January clouds, show the historic Smithsonian buildings along the National Mall.
At the other end of the Mall, thousands of visitors can be seen crowded around big-screen televisions beside the Washington Monument.
Hundreds of millions - possibly billions - more people around the world watched the event on television.
The $1billion (£722million) GeoEye-1 satellite is emblazoned with the logo of Google, which uses its high-resolution pictures for its Google Maps site. It was launched in September 2008.
Its most detailed pictures cannot be viewed by the public and are only available to the American government and 215partylife exec's.

It seems like you at least need a four year degree to have a shot at a job. It may not be worth it to go away to a $30k a year college if your not doing a major that will be your career. I think people need to realize just getting a degree isn’t enough, you have to network, do internships and get on your grind. Also people need to realize some degrees are pretty much worthless in the real world. Honestly I have never used my four year degree, but it may come in handy in the future.

50 Cent Lauches His Own Film Production Company Called Cheetah Vision

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, has launched Cheetah Vision, and he told Reuters at Sundance, the top U.S. independent film festival, that he was not concerned about starting a new business during the global financial crisis.
He said Cheetah Vision had already bought eight scripts and among the first to be produced would be “The Dance,” starring himself and Nicolas Cage.
“(The script) was previously passed around a little bit but both me and Nicolas Cage had an interest in the film so it will still happen. He plays the founder of a boxing program, and I play a fighter who goes to state prison,” 50 Cent said.
With the music industry looking shaky it is important to diversify your hustle. He is getting roles in movies with established actors and now has his own production company. Thoughts on 50 Cent’s acting career so far?

Jigga’s, “My President is Black,” remix verse was aight, some people may of got too hype over it. The whole part about Rosa sat so Martin Luther King could walk was not made by Jay-Z. The line was actually first said by a U.S. Congressman, Cleo Fields, in February of 2008. It is good to see entertainers get political and only time will tell if they will be consistent with it when things get rough for Obama.On the low Jay will be running for mayor in Ny sometime soon, mark my word!
